Minutes of November 5, 2005

President Brose called the meeting to order at 6:30 at the Round Table Pizza in Fortuna. Seven members were present. In absence of Secretary, minutes of the last meeting in October were not read, but it was noted they have been posted on the website. Penguin volunteered to do minutes again.

New Treasurer is getting statements. The $8 per month service fee was finally rescinded and rolled back. USHGA payment of about $450 is due in early February. Our present balance is $458.

President David Brose has been appointed the USHGA Hang Gliding Observer for our area by Jon James, a Northern California USHGA Examiner with Sonoma Wings. Dave joins Penguin as the Paraglider Observer. There was a brief discussion of Observer duties and responsibilities.

Flying in the Bay Area and Monterey has been good lately, and a discussion of a club trip was made.

It was decided that the only business to be conducted at the Christmas Party December 3rd was to decide a time and place for the January business meeting, and collect all the 2006 dues possible. We want to push for a good turnout, and encourage everybody to bring their 2006 dues with them ($20).

Table Bluff discussion ensued. The RC Club is working toward installing a weather station, David has volunteered some club help toward this end. The multiple agencies at this site make for slow and deliberate going.
