Minutes of October 2nd, 2005
President Brose called the meeting to order at 6:30 at the Round Table Pizza in Fortuna. Eleven members were present. In absence of Secretary, minutes of the last meeting in March were not read, but it was noted they have been posted on the website. Penguin volunteered to do minutes.
First order of business was to elect a new Treasurer. Treasurer Bruce Champie noted that he will not be flying for at least another year, and requested that an active pilot take over the job. After discussion, Jim McKee volunteered and was unanimously chosen as our new club Treasurer. Bruce was given a very big hand for his work as our first Treasurer. Bruce reported that there was $456 presently in the bank.
Discussion of Treasurer role and expenses ensued. The club will owe USHGA $500 in February for club dues and insurance on two sites. The job of Treasurer as membership coordinator/dues collector was discussed.
Business moved on to discussion of Table Bluff and improvements to the launch. Coordination with the various agencies involved is moving along well.
Next meeting was scheduled for the Round Table in Fortuna Saturday, November 5th at 6 P.M.
Discussion of having a Christmas Party culminated in deciding to have our first annual Christmas Party Saturday, December 3rd starting at 5 P.M. at Grant Kimball's place at 1748 Iverson in Arcata - Potluck.
